Slowbro with Nasty Plot and other complementary attacks is the ideal build to beat even the toughest Raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, like the Cinderace Tera Raid.
The Cinderace 7 Star Tera Raid can be challenging, but it can easily be conquered if you have the right Pokemon. Slowbro, due to its Water-Psychic type, is a perfect counter to Cinderace’s moveset.
To raise the chance of defeating Cinderace or any other Tera Raid Pokemon, Slowbro can become even more powerful with the right moves, items, and stat boost strategy.
The Nasty Plot build makes Slowbro a force to be reckoned with and almost guarantees to conquer this, and many other challenging Raids on a single try and even solo!

Best Slowbro Strategy for Tera Raids
The best strategy to one-shot and solo 6+ Stars Tera Raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with the Slowbro build is using three Iron Defense, three Nasty Plot, a “Go all out!” Cheer, and end with Stored Power.
Iron Defense will give you enough Defense boost to withstand most Physical Attacks during the turns you need to build up the Sp. Atk. and Attack boosts with Nasty Plot and Cheering.
Once that is completed, Stored Power will gain 100% more power for every increased stat stage, releasing a powerful hit against your Tera Raid opponent.
6+ Star Raids Strategy
- Use Iron Defense three times (+3 Defense)
- Use Nasty Plot three times (+6 Special Attack)
- Increase attack by Cheering a “Go all out!” (1.5x Attack Boost)
- Attack with Stored Power for a one-hit KO
- If the Tera Raid Pokemon nullifies your stat changes, you must start your buffs again from the first step.
5 Stars Raids Strategy
- Use Iron Defense one time (two times max)
- Use Nasty Plot three times
- Increase attack by Cheering a “Go all out!”
- Attack with Stored Power for a one-hit KO
- If the Tera Raid Pokemon nullifies your stat changes, you must start your buffs again from the first step.
Strategy for Raids Below 5 Stars
- Use Nasty Plot two to three times
- Increase attack by Cheering a “Go all out!”
- Attack with Stored Power for a one-hit KO
- If the Tera Raid Pokemon nullifies your stat changes, you must start your buffs again from the first step.
