Halo Infinite is finally here and you’ll need to change these PC settings to get a high FPS and peak performance.
Have you heard the news? Halo Infinite’s Free-to-Play Multiplayer is available now!
Yesterday, to celebrate 20 years of both Halo and Xbox, Microsoft revealed a huge surprise – Halo Infinite’s Beta is now live.
The game is playable all the way through to its December 8 release date, and for the most part, it plays as smooth as butter. But you’ll need to tweak a few options to land on the best PC settings for Halo Infinite.
First, make sure you’re using the best controller settings for Halo Infinite to get the drop on the competition.
After all, the game recommends an NVIDIA GeForce 3080 or similar for running Halo Infinite on Ultra settings. And even for those on lower-spec hardware, here are the best settings you need to change.
Meanwhile, we’ve still got new Halo Infinite Xbox Series X restocks dropping between November 15-21!
Halo Infinite Best Settings for FPS
If you’re playing Halo Infinite on PC, here are the best settings for high FPS in-game.
- First, ensure you’re playing on the most up-to-date graphics drivers for your system.
- FOV – 90 (or preference)
- Display Adapter – Check that it’s your primary graphics card
- Resolution Scale – 100% ideally
- Minimum Frame Rate – 60
- Maximum Frame Rate – Whatever the Refresh Rate of your monitor is. If you’ve got a 144Hz monitor, set it to 144 etc.
- VSYNC – Turning this on will add a little input lag but having it off could lead to screen tearing.
- Limit Inactive Frame Rate – On
Halo Infinite Graphics Settings
When it comes to graphics settings, you’ll want to alter these options to suit your gaming rig. Even if you’re running Infinite on a 3080 GPU, we’d still recommend turning the Quality Preset to High rather than Ultra.
Doing so will net you the best possible performance in-game, even in the most intensive of moments.
For lower-spec computers, consider turning down the Quality Preset even further to boost your FPS in-game.
Below that, turning Blur off is always a good option. If you’re super competitive, you could also remove all Screen Shake, Full Screen Effects, and Speed Lines too.
In case you haven’t seen already, you can get an exclusive Neon Skull weapon charm for Halo Infinite now!
And while scalpers are selling the Halo Infinite Xbox Series X for insane prices, hope is not lost.
