Creating the best AUG loadout means choosing the right attachments and building the ultimate class.
This can make a huge difference in performance on Black Ops Cold War and give you that much needed 'one burst kill'.
The AUG has seen many irritation in the Call of Duty franchise over the years, but none as strong as this, unlocked at level 28 (Lieutenant). The Aug is a force to be reckoned with.
This weapon is best suited for medium to long-range with a one burst kill potential up to 30.4 meters.
In the short amount of time that the Black Ops Cold War servers have been online, the mp5 has been dominating the multiplayer scene. On the other hand the AUG has gone somewhat unnoticed.
This underrated weapon has one of the fastest time to kill.
Both of these loadouts are set up to dominate different situations, which you might come across in online multiplayer.
Best AUG Class Cold War
To create the best AUG class in Black Ops Cold War, the gunfighter perk is a must. This AUG is meant to handle all situations both near and far, whilst excelling at mid to long-range.
- Optic: Kobra Red Dot
- Muzzle: Infantry Compensator
- Barrel: 19.6'' Task Force Barrel
- Body: Steady Aim Laser
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
- Magazine: Jungle Style Mags
- Handle: Airborne Elastic Grip
- Stock: Raider Pad
19.6" Task Force Barrel
The 19.6" Task Force Barrel will increase the range by a whopping 50 percent. Increasing the damage, but most importantly giving the AUG a 50% boost to its bullet velocity.
When talking about burst rifles, one of the most important stat is bullet velocity.
The higher the bullet velocity, the less time your opponent will have to avoid being hit by all 3 bullets within the burst.
The 19.6" does come with some heavy cons, that being an increase in both vertical and horizontal recoil, but this loadout incorporates a solution for you.
Field Agent Grip
The field agent grip offering 10% vertical recoil control and 40% horizontal recoil control will keep your shots in check.
It doesn't stop there. The infantry compensator will add another 25% vertical recoil control, as a result keeping you on target.
Steady Aim Laser
The steady aim laser will allow you to go head to head in those close-quarters engagements. Meanwhile, the jungle style mag will speed up the reload in those clutch moments.
Elastic Wrap and The Raider
The Elastic Wrap and The Raider pad will greatly improve the handling stats of the AUG.
Decreasing both the aim down sight time, similarly the sprint out time.
This loadout is a set up for success fast, accurate, with an amazing damage profile. However, if you are anything like me and love your perks way too much then we have a loadout just for that.
Best AUG Class For Warzone & Rebirth Island
This loadout has been created to dominate long ranges. Is not as agile as our previous set up, but it boasts a better range profile and less recoil.
Ready for those longer range gunfights in Warzone & Rebirth Island.
- Optic: VisionTech 2x
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 19.6'' Match Grade
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
- Handle: Serpent Wrap
19.6'' Match Grade Barrel
Starting off this class is the 19.6" Match Grade Barrel.
This barrel will double our range with its 100% effective damage range boost. From the base 30.4 meters all the way up to 60.9 meters.
Allowing our bullets to keep their maximum damage output all the way out to 60.9 meters is a no brainer in Warzone as engagements tend to stretch out further than in regular multiplayer.
The 19.6" Match Grade Barrel will come with a decrease to our spriting move speed by 5%
Deployment into the Warzone without a sound suppressor is a death sentence.
Therefore, we will be taking the Agency Suppressor.
Concealing the muzzle flash by 100% keeps us off the enemy's radar, letting us engage without being tracked by other teams near the vicinity.
Unlike in Black Ops Cold War multiplayer, the Agency Suppressor will not reduce our bullet velocity. Instead, it will actually increase the damage range the same way the Molothic Suppressor does.
The Agency Suppressor will reduce our aim down sight speed and our aim walking steadiness.
Now that we have maxed out the range of the AUG, we will be switching the built-in scope for a Visiontech 2x.
This is completely up to the user; however, the ability to customise the reticle along with the 2x magnification makes it a lot easier to hit targets accurately at range.
Field Agent Grip
For our next attachment, we are going to be using the Field Agent Grip for the same reason listed above.
To "wrap" this class up is the Serpent Wrap.
The Serpent Wrap comes with a massive 25% boost to our aim down sight time and only a minor hit to our sprint out time.
Since we will not be using any attachments that boost our sprint to fire speed is important that we do not increase it by too much.
Unlike the Airborne Elastic Wrap, the Serpent Wrap is just perfect in the sense that it offers a balance between boosting our aim down sight time, whilst hurting our sprint to fire speed.
This class set up was curated to be able to put three bullets on target consistently, taking down enemies in just 5 bullets up to 60.9 meters.
Minimal recoil paired with the 2x zoom from the Visontech 2x keeps you in the sweet spot.
To be able to engage enemies from across the airport in Warzone and still be able to clear structures on Rebirth Island.
There you have it; two of the best loadouts for the weapon that sits on top of the meta currently, the AUG.
Whether its Warzone or Black Ops Cold War multiplayer, the AUG is sure to give your enemies an express pass to the gulag, some times an all-access ticket to the main lobby.
Try out both of these amazing set up next time you're in the AO.
If you're still working your way through the levels, here's how to rank up fast in Black Ops Cold War.
