Our first brand-new Wonder Weapon is ready to wield! Here’s how to get the Beamsmasher on the Terminus map for Black Ops 6 Zombies:
If you’re aiming for high rounds or you’re looking to complete the Terminus Easter Egg quest, you’ll want to get your hands on some high-power weaponry.
And what could be more high-power than the Beamsmasher, a super-charged LMG capable of mowing down the undead with Aetheric energy?
How to Get the Beamsmasher on Terminus
There are three main methods to getting the Beamsmasher on Terminus in Black Ops 6 Zombies: using the Mystery Box, earning it in Legendary SAM Trial reward boxes, or crafting the Wonder Weapon.
Mystery Box
The easiest way to get your hands on the Beamsmasher in Black Ops 6 is by using the Mystery Box to pull for a random weapon.
The Mystery Box can be found at a random spawn point around the map, identified by a pillar of blue light above its location. The odds of getting a Wonder Weapon from the box will increase as the round count goes up, so save your Essence for later rounds for increased odds!
Alternatively, you can guarantee a Wonder Weapon pull from the Mystery Box by using the Wonderbar! GobbleGum.
Of course, given that the Ray Gun is also available on Terminus, this won’t guarantee that the box will give you a Beamsmasher right away.
SAM Trials
Every few rounds, players will start receiving notifications that there’s a new SAM Trial at a random location around the map.
Finding these SAM Trials and activating them will begin a trial in which you must eliminate zombies in a specific way. Sometimes you’ll be given a temporary boost in order to accomplish the trial, such as a bonus Perk, or a faster Field Upgrade charge.
Kill as many zombies as the trial requires and you’ll earn a Legendary loot crate, which has a chance to contain the Beamsmasher!
How to Craft the Beamsmasher
To craft the Beamsmasher Wonder Weapon in Black Op 6 Zombies, you first need to turn on the power and open the Research Office, which we explain how to do in our full Terminus Main Quest Easter Egg guide.
Then, you’ll be able to gather components to assemble the Beamsmasher:
- Grab the EMF Fob item from dead zombie in the Research Lab.
- Next, head to the Sea Tower (Coordinates: F6) at the southern side of Terminus Island, where you’ll find a briefcase with a hand attached to it on the desk. Interact with the briefcase to open it, and collect the Multiphasic Resonator within.
- Collecting this will spawn a Parasite swarm, so be ready for a fight!
- Head into Engineering, just across from the Living Quarters, and pick up the blue battery on the desk.
- There is no prompt for this item, but interact with it and you’ll collect it.
- Now you must turn on three computers, marked with X, Y, and Z, which you can find at the following locations:
Here’s a look at where each laptop appears on the map – interact (Square/X/F) with each one to turn them on!
X – Docks
Y – Storage Area
Z – Communications
- After interacting with each laptop, they should now display some circular symbols. Return to the Research Office and interact with the computer to be given a math problem that changes each game.
- The whiteboards and the symbols you found on each PC create an algebra puzzle, the answer of which reveals the code you need to enter.
- This will be unique to your specific game, so you’ll have to work out the answer yourself.
- If math isn’t your strong suit (and it certainly isn’t ours), you can talk to Peck back at the Guard Station spawn area to spend 5000 Essence and skip the math puzzle completely.
- Enter your code into the PC and then complete the Round you’re currently on. After that, you can pick up the Multiphasic Resonator from the top of the PC.
- Head to the docks and get into a Tactical Raft, which can be purchased from various water-adjacent machines from around the island.
- Using the Tactical Raft, head to Castle Rock Island to the north, and you’ll find a blue orb waiting for you.
- Interact with the orb to begin spawning enemies. Occasionally, when fighting near the orb, you’ll see one zombie get zapped and become supercharged. Defeat that zapped enemy and they will drop a mini orb.
- Interact with these mini orbs to pick them up, and then run into the original orb to consume it. Repeat this step until the larger orb flies away.
- Don’t forget to pick up your Multiphasic Resonator and then follow the orb to Crab Island, the largest island on the map.
- The orb will now be green, and you must repeat the process of defeating supercharged zombies and carrying their orb drops once again. Don’t forget the Multiphasic Resonator before getting back on your Tactical Raft and heading northwest to the final location: Temple Island.
- Plant the Multiphasic Resonator on the final purple orb and repeat the zombie-killing and orb-collecting one last time. After this is complete, your screen will turn white, indicating that you’ve successfully completed this step.
- Collect the AMP Munition that the purple orb has left behind.
- Now you can return to the Research Office where you can assemble the Beamsmasher Wonder Weapon!
If that seems like a lot of effort to you, we agree. After all, it’s around half the length of the entire Terminus Main Quest!
How to Use the Beamsmasher
The Terminus Wonder Weapon has two different modes of fire:
- Primary Fire: Unleashes a solid beam of Aetheric energy, breaking down organic matter at the molecular level. Enemies explode instantly upon contact, but the weapon becomes harder to move after firing for too long.
- Secondary Fire: The Beamsmasher emits focused soundwaves that cause enemy targets to vibrate and slow down significantly. Affected enemies won’t be hurt by this attack, but they will become more vulnerable to both the Primary Fire and other weaponry.
Therefore, the optimal way to utilize the Beamsmasher is to first hit enemy targets with the secondary fire to slow them down and cause them to vibrate.
Then, once they’re afflicted by the Beamsmasher’s effect, hit those same targets with your primary fire to cause devastating damage and make your enemies explode!
On top of that, when the Beamsmasher automatically reloads, it vents its excess pressure, causing a small blast to knock down nearby undead. If you’re getting overwhelmed, this could be a great way to get yourself out of a pinch!
