Many players have been experiencing issues trying to connect to Battlefield 1 multiplayer. Reports suggest that these issues are still ongoing and started at around 11 AM BST. Below we have all the answers for why the EA Servers are down for Battlefield and other EA games, and how to resolve this issue.
EA Servers Down – Battlefield
Many players have noticed that when you try to get onto Battlefield 1 multiplayer it says, “See http://help.ea.com/article/not-able-to-connect-to-online-play for additional information”. EA say these are the steps that may get it to work.
- Make sure you have the right accounts.
- Check Xbox and PlayStation’s server status.
- Check if your account is banned.
- Troubleshoot your connection.
It also seems that there are EA Server issues are on other EA games for example, Battlefield 1, Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline, Fifa and Madden. EA posted on twitter saying they are aware of the current server issues and are working to resolve this.
Why are the EA Servers down?
Of course this could just be due to the hype of Battlefield 1 but, many rumours are suggesting that the reason the EA Servers are down is because a large hacking group had done a cyber attack (DDoS attack). This also effected other major websites but we found out, that when you reset your router it resolves the issue for some sites.
