Battlefield 2042 Official Trailer Finally Revealed

After months of waiting, we can finally feast our eyes on the official trailer for Battlefield 2042!

To say that Battlefield is one of the most-anticipated games of 2021 is an understatement. Not only has it been a while since we’ve seen a modern Battlefield title, but many players are looking for a way out of the broken Call of Duty franchise.

Now, we finally have our first look at footage from the new Battlefield game, and DICE is bringing the hype. Not only are we returning to a modern setting after Battlefield 1 and 5’s historical gameplay, but this is the first major multiplayer shooter to seemingly take full advantage of the next-gen hardware.

Take a look at Battlefield 2042’s official trailer below, which is finally here after an agonizing few months.

Unlike the previous Battlefield trailer which leaked fully online, this is brand-new footage of the newly-announced title. It looks like the game’s official name in, in-fact, Battlefield 2042, and the title takes place in the not-so-far future.

In the trailer, we see our first ever look at Battlefield 2042’s robot dogs, wingsuits, grappling hooks and more!

We already know that natural disasters will destroy the Battlefield maps mid-game, and we’re excited to see more. In the meantime, the trailer shows off some of Battlefield’s new incredible next-gen environments, which promise more destruction than ever before.

Sadly, EA is confirming that Battlefield 2042 is not a next-gen exclusive title, releasing on PS4 and Xbox One alongside the powerful devices.

However, there’s another Battlefield game releasing soon too!

Unfortunately, we didn’t see anything about Battlefield’s ‘incredible’ battle royale mode in the new official trailer. But we’re sure that EA will be quick to show off the mode in the coming months.

And it’s good news for Xbox fans, as insiders reveal that Battlefield 2042 is launching Day One on Xbox Game Pass!
