EA has remained tight-lipped regarding Battlefield V over the course of the last few months. But now, it appears as though a major content drop is on the horizon. Battlefield 5 Chapter 6 goes by the name “Into the Jungle”, DICE confirmed in their most recent trailer. Here’s everything we know so far regarding the upcoming update, including the release date, new map, weapons, gadgets, new elites, and more.
The next major addition to the game goes deeper into the Pacific Theater. It’s set to introduce a bevy of new items, so let’s dive right into it.
Battlefield 5 Tides of War Chapter 6 Trailer
It’s only been a few days since EA DICE premiered the official trailer for the upcoming chapter. In the trailer, you can see gameplay of the next chapter, including a first look at the new map: Solomon Islands.
New Map: Solomon Islands
Hence the name ‘Into the Jungle’, the new map for this chapter takes place in a jungle. Solomon Islands allows players to take the battle to the land, sea, or air. You can view the map for yourself below.
When is Battlefield V Chapter 6 Coming Out?
The official release date is Thursday, February 6th, 2020. There’s no word on what time the chapter will be launching as of yet.
Weapons and Gadgets
As with every new update, you can expect to see numerous new ways to improve your arsenal. Chapter Six will introduce three new weapons and two gadgets, EA DICE has confirmed.
These can be unlocked through either earning XP or leveling up your Chapter Ranks. The weapons and gadgets have been listed below, in addition to class they will be available on.
- Assault: M2 Carbine and M1A1 Bazooka
- Support: Model 37 Shotgun and Type 11 LMG
There’s also a Lunge Mine Gadget added to the mix, which will be available in either class.
Into the Jungle will also feature three brand new elites. These will be as follows: Misaki Yamashiro, Steve Fisher, and Akira Sakamoto.
You can unlock these elites through climbing chapter ranks or simply earning XP. Elite soldier Misaki Yamashiro will be up for grabs as a reward at the very end.
