Battlefield 2042 is still rolling out big update patches to solve critical issues. EA has now released more information about the upcoming Update 3.
Battlefield 2042 has experienced a considerable amount of critical issues since its launch.
Gamers called out many concerning issues even during beta stages. Thus far, players are now worried that the game will not be fixed in a long time.
This concern is frankly understandable. Even after two massive updates, the game still presents game-breaking bugs and other critical issues.
EA is listening to feedback and sticking to its update roadmap.
Today, the publisher revealed all the changes coming to Battlefield 2042 once Update 3 Patch releases tomorrow.
Battlefield 2042 December 2 Update Patch Notes – Weekly Missions, New Portal Game Mode & More
Battlefield 2042 Update 3 introduces Weekly Missions and some excellent additions to Portal mode.
Weekly Missions in Battlefield 2042
Once Update 3 launches on December 2, gamers will enjoy Weekly Missions in Battlefield 2042.
Each week, players will get access to three varying missions to complete. Gamers can track these missions directly from the main menu.
Each of these missions will award XP upon completion. Additionally, completing all three missions will grant a cosmetic reward.
Portal Mode Additions
Portal receives a new game mode layout for Rush on All-Out Warfare maps in Battlefield 2042’s Update 3.
In addition, Portal is also getting new templates for its Builder. This update also adds a new combat vehicle-centric custom mode, Vehicle Team Deathmatch.
For those who like in-depth customization, this update supports logic created in the Rules Editor. Also, a new logic option to check the source of fatal damage to a player has been added.
Gameplay and Minor Changes
Across the board, this update brings a multitude of minor fixes. There are tweaks to make menus and the UI more accessible.
According to EA, a total of over 150 individual map fixes will roll out with Battlefield 2042 Update 3.
These fixes should solve spawning, visual glitching, and collision issues per the patch notes.

Ongoing Battlefield 2042 Issues
EA rolled out Battlefield 2042’s second patch some time ago. This patch solved a lot of issues.
Although, problems with the game are far from over. Just after Update 2 launched, several gamers complained that issues with hit registration were still prevalent in the game.
Not long after that, EA found a fix for this persistent issue.
A considerable amount of gamers also reported a glitch that grants invisibility for some players in the match.
Unfortunately, all of this is causing gamers to lose interest in the game. According to reports, Battlefield has already lost around half of its player base.
Hopefully, for those who remain playing, Update 3 will get Battlefield 2042 to the level of polish it needs.
