An EA DICE Game Designer has recently confirmed that Battlefield 2042 Specialists will not be removed from the game.
It’s been over six months since Battlefield 2042’s initial release and it’s no surprise that the game hasn’t done well.
While the same designer has also claimed that ‘almost everyone” is still working on Battlefield 2042, the game is yet to receive its inaugural season.
However, it seems the Specialists in Battlefield 2042 will remain in the shooter and get a rework to fix fan complaints.
Battlefield 2042 Specialists Will Get a Work and Stay in the Game
While the Battlefield 2042 4.0 update is set to release any time next week, it appears Battlefield 2042’s Specialists’ fate has already been decided by the developers.
Reddit user ‘Youngstown_Mafia‘ took to Battlefield 2042’s subreddit to share DICE Game Designer Frederik Drabert’s comments.
Fans have been demanding the removal of Specialists for a while now. However, Frederik put an end to those demands by stating that they will see a rework and stay in the game.
With DICE stating that Specialists will be the future of the Battlefield franchise, many fans expected this statement from the developer.
Only time will tell if this rework will make Battlefield a flagship shooter once again. Although, with a series of disappointing events, the fans have given up hope and still expecting refunds for the latest title.
In other news, Battlefield 2042 player count has dropped below 1000 on Steam ahead of the major April update. Who would have guessed no one wants to play a game devoid of content!
Also, make sure to check out all the map changes in the upcoming update. It seems the developers are trying to tackle some major existing issues!
Finally, the upcoming weapons in Season 1 of Battlefield 2042 have leaked as well. It’s no surprise that the existing arsenal of weapons is underwhelming. So, this can be the chance to make things right!
