Battlefield 2042 is the most anticipated game in the world right now, and for good reason. It promises to be not only a great game at launch, but could have loads of content for years to come.
Find out DICE’s plan for Battlefield 2042’s post-launch content, which includes new maps, specialists, and more every single season, according to a reliable Battlefield leaker.
But first, check out the Battlefield 2042 gameplay trailer.
Battlefield 2042 Post-Launch & Seasonal Content
Reliable Battlefield leaker Tom Henderson has revealed what content players should expect in every Battlefiled 2042 season. EA or DICE have not confirmed this information yet, but it comes from a source that has provided accurate Battlefield 2042 info before.
Battlefield 2042 Battle Pass
In case you missed it, Battlefield 2042 will have a seasonal Battle Pass, featuring loads of skins and more. Every Season will last 3 months and there will be 100 tiers of cosmetic items for players to unlock.
However, that is just the tip of the iceberg for the game’s post-launch content.
Battlefield 2042 Post-Launch Maps
In addition to all of the launch day maps in Battlefield 2042, Henderson claims that the game will get 2 brand-new maps every season. And this is not even including the Portal game mode, which features classic maps.
The 6 classic Battlefield Portal maps returning will be joined by 2 more each season as well, per Henderson’s tweet. This means that 4 new maps could arrive in every single season of Battlefield 2042!
The class system Battlefield fans are used to is being replaced by the brand new Specialists system. While there is plenty to play as at launch, Henderson believes that DICE will add a new one every Season too!
New Weapons & Vehicles
Additionally, Henderson’s tweet says that there will be 6-8 weapons and 2-3 vehicles added every season for both Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield Portal. This means around 15 new weapons and 5 vehicles in total!
Hazard Zone Updates
Last, but certainly not least, the new Hazard Zone game mode in Battlefield 2042 will supposedly get an update every season too. What the mode is is still unclear at the moment, but it will be similar to a battle royale experience.
Once again, make sure to take all this information with a grain of salt as none of this has been confirmed yet.
