A new Twitter tease from Battlefield may have already given up on the gun on what fans can expect from the mysterious ‘redacted’ game mode in Battlefield 2042.
Although it isn’t long now until the next EA Play Live event which is set to give eager gamers more juicy details on Battlefield 2042, this hasn’t stopped the official Battlefield Twitter page from throwing fans a bone.
Recently, at the latest EA Play Live event, we found out that Battlefield 2042 would feature opt-out cross-play as well as cross-progression. Now, it appears there is more information to come for the highly anticipated FPS in the next couple of days.
Despite us already knowing all Battlefield 2042 maps revealed for launch day, as well as all confirmed weapons for the next Battlefield installment, there is still one great mystery that is yet to be answered. Interestingly enough, it revolves around the rather ominous ‘redacted mode’
Now, it could be the case that a leak we reported on regarding Battlefield 2042’s ‘redacted’ mode, may in fact finally have been substantiated. Here is what we know from the latest Battlefield tease, and what it means for the game.
Battlefield 2042: Redacted Mode Twitter Tease
The Battlefield Twitter has been a hotbed of teases recently. Despite fans already being extremely hyped for Battlefield 2042, another tease may have just finally sent gamers into overdrive. Whilst many are wondering whether 2042 will have a Battle Royale mode, it turns out that the ‘redacted’ mode may be far more interesting.
Interestingly, the latest Twitter tease doesn’t give too much away at first glance. However, if you are a seasoned veteran of the series, you may be able to make out a few hidden details. Check out the Battlefield 2042 tease just below for a closer look:
Now, if you found the Battlefield 2042 tease particularly cryptic and ambiguous, we don’t blame you. However, if you were paying special attention you may have noticed a few important details. Furthermore, the tease may have even hinted at the rumored Battlefield Hub mode.
To explain, eagle-eyed fans may have been able to make out some distinctive shapes in the new tease. Interestingly, at one point in the Battlefield 2042 tease, you can spot the silhouette of a tank, alongside a plane looming menacingly in the corner.
But what does this mean? Well, some fans have been able to work out from the image that this is in fact a Panzer IV tank and Stuka airplane from earlier Battlefield games. This seemingly hints that the remastered fan-favorite maps from other Battlefield titles may in fact really be arriving in 2042’s Hub mode.
