Battlefield 2042 Players Are Convinced Dice Is Boosting Player Numbers With AI Bots

Battlefield 2042 players have growing suspicions that DICE is filling up the lobbies with bots, which appear with a regular player’s name.

Battlefield 2042 was one of the most anticipated titles last year. Long-time fans of the franchise had high hopes for the latest title, albeit with some concerns as well.

However, ever since the game’s launch, fans’ disappointment was snowballing out of control. So much so that Battlefield 2042’s refund petition has reached 150,000 signatures.

On top of this, many in the community now believe that Battlefield 2042’s multiplayer lobbies don’t have actual players in them.

Battlefield 2042 Multiplayer Lobbies Don’t Have Actual Players

With Battlefield 2042 Season 1 Map’s image leaking last week, it appears the current maps are being filled by bots, according to player reports.

Reddit user ‘Janus67‘ took to Battlefield 2042’s subreddit to share their observations. The user saw players behaving like bots in their matches.

While Battlefield 2042’s bots are marked with the “[AI]” tag after their names, players are noticing other players without this tag, though their movements and behavior are much like these bots.

Many in the community also chimed in with their opinions, noticing similar things in their matches. Although, few were outright mocking DICE as well.

“Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re running dummy accounts to boost numbers.”

And this isn’t the first time players are mocking EA and DICE. Last month, Battlefield 2042 fans were also mocking EA’s “Legacy Features.”

On top of this, Battlefield 2042 players are also reporting matchmaking is almost entirely bots. This is not a surprise considering Battlefield is no longer a flagship shooter thanks to Battlefield 2042’s failure.

Finally, there’s big news for mobile gamers. Battlefield is finally making its way to mobile and here’s how you can play.

This game has been a disappointing let down from day one. Even with the patches so far it is still broken in so many ways. EA and Dice not refunding such a marketing lie will result in me never pre-ordering from either of them again. Guess I'll just wait for the reviews before another 100 dollar humping. I so hope there is a class action on this.

Battlefield 2 is still the best game of the franchise. EA/DICE should just update that game from 2005 and rerelease it. At LEAST they could leak the source code so we can fix it ourselves.

It's easy to tell who's real and who's a bot if you just fly a drone. The Bots all immediately see you and start shooting guns and rockets in the air. Real people hardly ever notice them at all. Fly over and you'll instantly know.
