We finally know the Battlefield 2042 PC specs and gamers might need to upgrade their hardware before release day.
Ever since the first reveal of Battlefield 2042, fans have been wondering how extensive the upcoming game is going to be on our hardware. Now, we have a much better idea of what to expect in the full game’s launch.
Many fans were disappointed to learn that Battlefield 2042 would be coming to last-gen consoles. After all, we were certainly hoping for a true next-gen Battlefield experience this time around.
Of course, last-gen consoles will be getting a significantly toned-down Battlefield 2042 experience as it is. With smaller maps and a lower player count, there’s no question that PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC will be the only way fans want to play Battlefield 2042.
But for all the game’s upgrades on next-gen and PC, you’ll need some decent specs to run the upcoming game.
Battlefield 2042 Technical Playtest Reveals PC Specs
Thanks to the new Battlefield 2042 Technical Playtest which is about to begin next week, players will soon be dropping into EA’s upcoming shooter. And because of this, some users have had their first look at the game’s PC specs.
Although Battlefield 2042’s Technical Playtest is about to drop, don’t expect too many details to come out of it. After all, unlike Halo Infinite’s Tech Preview last weekend, fans are not permitted to share details about the title’s gameplay.
“This Technical Playtest will be focused on gathering intel on our core gameplay loop, technical performance, and stability,” invites indicate. “This will all be done in a closed environment and under a strict NDA – you don’t want to miss out!”
But one thing that’s already leaking is the PC specs needed to run Battlefield 2042 in the first place.
