Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone Likely to be Revealed at the End of October

Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone reveal is just around the corner… Or is it?

Hazard Zone is Battlefield 2042’s dark horse since it was first revealed in July at EA Play Live.

Yet, there is still no official reveal announcement in sight.

When Will BF2042 Hazard Zone Be Revealed?

EA’s original plan for Hazard Zone was that the mode was going to be revealed a week or two after the Battlefield 2042 BETA.

However, since the Battlefield delay announcement several weeks ago, it’s clear that the date has been pushed back.

In fact, the original plan for Hazard Zone was that the mode was going to be revealed next week (early October) via a gameplay trailer that has been produced.

Since the delay announcement, the whole content calendar for the game has been pushed back around three weeks.

Although no official announcement has yet been made, it’s looking like Hazard Zone will be revealed towards the end of October.

What is Battlefield 2042’s Hazard Zone?

Hazard Zone is Battlefield 2042’s answer to Battle Royale and although the mode itself isn’t a “traditional” Battle Royale title, it will feature some elements.

The mode has been mashed together with elements from both Battle Royale and Escape From Tarkov to make the gamemode stand out from the competition.

From the Battlefield website’s description, Hazard Zone is “an all-new, high-stakes multiplayer experience.”

Although the mode seems promising though, there is one big title looming over its potential success, Warzone.

Battlefield 2042’s delay has meant the game will launch just one week prior to Call of Duty: Warzone’s massive integration.

Warzone’s integration might not seem like a massive issue to some, but as content creator advertisement continues to dominate the industry’s marketing strategy, it’s a potentially huge issue for EA.

After all, paying creators to play Hazard Zone (like EA did with Apex Legends) for a week and then the creators to immediately move over to Warzone a week later won’t produce a good return on investment (ROI).

It does seem that this is an issue being looked at internally within EA though.

Rumblings are suggesting that Hazard Zone could be pushed back into early 2022, but at the moment nothing is finalized.

It’s undoubtedly a hard decision for EA to make.

However, it’s hard to not forget about the disaster that was Battlefield V’s Firestorm, something I would assume EA is keen to avoid happening again.

It is clear EA is planning carefully with the recent news suggesting Battlefield 2042 will use an anti-cheat tool similar to Apex Legends.

With the game approaching the new release date more official information is being announced with crucial Battlefield 2042 crossplay & cross-platform party details.

As of yet, no concrete reveal date has yet been given on Hazard Zone, but as always, I will keep you in the loop when the date is known.
