Fans believe that Battlefield 2042’s Hazard Zone game mode could be an even bigger flop than the Firestorm Battle Royale Mode from Battlefield 5!
Hazard Zone was supposed to be the next big thing for the Battlefield series. However, it is far from that.
Fans of the series think that Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone is already dead and it’s hard to disagree. The player counts are dropping and there’s very little interest in the mode right now.
This has led many fans to think that it is an even bigger disaster than the short-lived and ill-fated Firestorm from Battlefield 5!
Battlefield Hazard Zone is Failing
The Battlefield 2042 player count has reached an all-time low on Steam and Hazard Zone has suffered the worst from this.
Players are finding it difficult to find games of Hazard Zone even with crossplay turned. This is because nobody actually wants to play the game mode.
This has prompted one player on the Battlefield subreddit to say that Hazard Zone is even more of a flop than Firestorm. This was the hugely unsuccessful Battle Royale mode in Battlefield 5.
Redditor u/Kwoods2590 believes that Hazard Zone is “a bigger fail” than Firestorm and over 2000 players agree with them.
The post highlights some huge issues with Hazard Zone that are stopping it from being more popular. Namely, not having any voice chat as well as players camping the extraction points with overpowered vehicles.
The third major update for Battlefield 2042 has just arrived and there have been no Hazard Zone changes yet though. Let’s hope that DICE makes some tweaks to Hazard Zone before it is too late.
Otherwise, the post could be right and Hazard Zone could turn out to be an even bigger failure than Battlefield 5’s Firestorm.
What’s more, Battlefield Portal is also dying with low player counts too.
