It seems that rumors were true and the Battlefield 2042 delay is real. Here’s everything we know:
For a while now, we’ve been suspicious about just how little Battlefield 2042 footage was being revealed. After all, with the game’s initial release date only being a few weeks away, we’ve seen dangerously little gameplay.
Recently, we did get the see the Battlefield 2042 Alpha gameplay footage from the game’s technical preview. However, those who leaked their experience with the playtest will be banned from Battlefield 2042 forever, EA confirms.
Now, only days away from the Battlefield 2042 Beta release date, we’re getting some very disappointing news.
Battlefield 2042 Delayed to November 19th Release Date
It appears that the lack of footage meant exactly what we feared – Battlefield 2042 is being delayed.
Earlier today, rumors of a Battlefield 2042 delay to 2022 began to circulate around the internet. Now, it seems that a delay really is on the cards.
In a new post on the Battlefield 2042 Twitter, EA confirms that it is delaying its upcoming shooter. However, we won’t have to wait until next year to get our hands on it.
Instead, Battlefield 2042 has a new release date of November 19th.
This extremely disappointing news means that Battlefield 2042 will now be competing directly with some of 2021’s biggest releases. That said, it seems that Xbox players have no interest in Call of Duty because of Battlefield 2042 and Halo.
Recently, we got a massive leak revealing all of Battlefield 2042’s Specialists. But we’ll have to wait a little longer to see them in action, it appears.
Meanwhile, Battlefield Mobile’s release date isn’t far off, and the handheld game looks to be doing the franchise justive.
