Although, you will probably want to give the game a go yourself. It’s still not too late to find out how to get Battlefield 2042 Beta Early Acces without a pre-order.
Battlefield 2042 Beta Gameplay Reaction, First Thoughts
Popular Battlefield YouTuber Westie got to play the Battlefield 2042 Beta a few days ago as part of an EA event and revealed his thoughts on the game. And we’re happy to say his impression is almost totally positive!
Firstly, Westie noted that his game performed very well, even if it was a build of the game that was a few months old. However, his minor gripes were that there were some visual bugs in the playtest and that the audio was a bit flat or muted.
Luckily, the rest of the game seems to be great. The Orbital map apparently plays very well with the huge 128 person player count and the game flows very well.
Additionally, Westie really enjoyed how the weapons feel and, in particular, the new ‘Plus’ system which lets you change attachments at any time.
However, the highlight of the Beta was definitely the tornado and rocket launch on Orbital.
“It’s spectacular. It’s on a scale we’ve never seen before, but it’s a bit rough around the edges.”Westie
Battlefield 2042 Beta Orbital Map – Tornado & Rocket Launch
Westie also explained how the tornado and rocket launch on Orbital work.
The tornado turns up in around 10% of matches on Orbital and Westie describes it as “absolutely awesome” in his Battlefield 2042 Beta gameplay. However, if you want to focus on the match, you can totally avoid it.
Meanwhile, players can control how the rocket launch turns out. It takes a while to fuel up, but after the arms come down you can attack the rocket. Depending on how much it gets damaged, it will either launch smoothly or explode.
It all sounds very promising for Battlefield 2042 so far then, however, players are worried about hackers in the beta. This is because cheaters have already bypassed the new Battlefield anti-cheat system.
This has caused console players to turn off crossplay in the Battlefield 2042 Beta to avoid PC hacks.
In other news, there have been some huge Battlefield leaks. Every Specialist in Battlefield 2042 has been revealed, and a data miner has uncovered the Season 1 map called ‘Ridge’.
