Battlefield 3 fans will be happy to see these classic classes return in a new Battlefield 2042 Beta leak.
The Battlefield 2042 Beta is now over, and it’s fair to say that fans have some relatively mixed opinions on the playtest. Although the game’s build was reportedly around 2 months old, the Beta was definitely one of the more glitchy experiences we’ve had the chance to play in recent history.
What’s more, Battlefield 2042 fans really hate the game’s Specialist system. And after seeing it in action last weekend, we have to agree that it’s not perfect right now.
Many long-time fans want the game to return to its original class system, with Assualt, Engineer, Medic, and Support all playing vital roles. Of course, that goes against DICE’s whole design plan, but it’s not impossible to think that these classes will be back.
In fact, it seems that all of the Battlefield 3 classes are currently playable in-game! And one lucky Battlefield 2042 fan got the chance to try them out early, and experience the older weaponry.
In this recent feature, “Battlefield 2042’s Troubled Development and Identity Crisis“, one insider reveals that Specialists are likely a response to the success of Warzone!
Battlefield 3 Classes Playable in Battlefield 2042 Beta
It seems that all Battlefield 3 classes are already playable inside the Battlefield 2042 Beta, thanks to a new glitch.
The Beta may be over but we’re still getting footage coming in from the players. And it seems that one Beta user managed to glitch their game to witness some unreleased content on PS5.
YouTuber Lucapook reveals that all 4 Battlefield 3 classes were available to play during the recent Beta. Presumably, these assets came straight from the Battlefield Portal Mode which allows players to combine all assets from previous Battlefield titles.
And the new glitch even makes Battlefield 2042’s Robot Dog playable in-game!
