Some major news came out this week when Epic Games revealed that players would have the opportunity to earn and acquire a free Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass. The way to acquire this is by completing 13 challenges out of the 20 possible. Since then, they have provided an update for their Support-a-Creator system, regarding the Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass.
It’s time, Valentine! The Overtime Challenges are now available, drop in and take them on to earn some fun rewards.
As a special bonus, the Season 8 Battle Pass will be awarded FREE to all players who complete 13 free Overtime Challenges by 2/27! ? pic.twitter.com/i5qWUwrq9g

These free challenges may be a sign showing that Fortnite is fighting back the rise of the new popular game; Apex Legends. During Fortnite’s peak, it did have small rivals in Battle Royale games, such as Realm Royale, PUBG, and Call of Duty Blackout. However, those didn’t really match the magnitude of Fortnite. Now, Apex Legends is gaining popularity and “stealing” players from Fortnite. Creating these challenges and letting players earn a free Battle Pass, which usually would cost 950 V-bucks, allows Epic Games to regain some players they lost.
Epic Games have to keep coming up with new ways to treat there fans and players. If they don’t provide the hype or interest these fans desire, then they may lose even more players to the up and coming popular game, named Apex Legends. It’s important to take note that Fortnite players who do not complete 13 challenges before the February 27 will not get the Battle Pass for free.
Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass Update for Support-a-Creator
Epic Games has emailed all “Support-A-Creator” owners and gave a brief update. The important text in the email above states:
“Everyone who completes any 13 free Overtime Challenges by February 27 will receive the upcoming Season 8 Battle Pass for FREE! Save your V-Bucks, this one’s on us! If a player redeems a free Season 8 Battle Pass by completing challenges and is supporting you, you’ll still receive a percentage of the Battle Pass value ($10).”
If you are a creator, or if you want to support your favorite creator, then you can now do it for free. This means if you complete the 13 challenges you will earn the Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass for free. By doing this, the person that completes the challenges using a Support-a-Creator code will help their favorite creator. The creator will get a partial amount of the cost of the battle pass (950 V-Bucks or $10).
(We, in fact, do have a support a creator code. If you guys want to support us. The code is MrLeaks)
By doing this, Epic Games is giving back to the people that made them such a popular and well-known company. If Epic Games keeps creating special events, they will inevitably gain more popularity in their already popular game.
