Fortnite is ever-growing, and more tournaments are being held by both Epic themselves and other hosts, such as UMG. Keemstar’s Friday Fortnite was born earlier this year and Epic’s Skirmish Series have been immensely popular, attracting hundreds of thousands of viewers. This week’s Skirmish was won by Tfue for the Rift Raiders.
Fortnite Tournaments Leaked
Today, October 13th 2018, the Twitter page @FNBRLeaks leaked 5 NEW TOURNAMENTS that are set to begin this month in-game. The possible tournaments are themed around certain skins and map locations. The five tournaments include Solo, Duo, and Squad orientated games.
Fornite Solos Tournament (Alpha) – Daily Trials
“Participate in the first in-game tournament, spanning across several days of daily competition! Earn a shiny pin!”
This tournament will begin on October 16th, in only 3 days time! Supposedly in the Solo format, the game mode will bring a new air of competitive playstyles to Fortnite. The exclusive rewards are currently being described as a “pin”, however, more information is expected in due course. This will be intense!
Fornite Duo Tournament (Beta) – Daily Trials
The description of the Beta Tournament is quoted:
“Grab a friend and take on the world until you are the last two left. Three days in a row of tough Duo competition.”
This tournament is surely going to be fun – teaming up with a buddy to earn the most Victory Royales possible. This Duo game mode is set to be released on October 23rd and available until the 25th. No rewards are reported yet, however, they’re sure to be exclusive. Get practicing!
Friday Night Fortnite
Wow! What a name. Most likely named due to Keemstar’s UMG Tournament, Friday Night Fortnite will be a Squads tournament. With the maximum points scored per match set at 6, Squads will have to earn 25 points in a session to earn their reward. This will be held every Friday, so join your friends every and kick off your weekend with some exciting Squad action. Can your team rise to the top?
Set to take place from October 28th until November 1st 2018, the Tomato Temple games will be in the Duos format. The description states that: Duos can “Score up to 6 points every match by eliminating multiple opponents and surviving against the competition! Score at least 20 total points in a session to earn a shiny pin!”
Salty Springs Cup
Built in the Solos format, the Salty Springs cup will be held from October 27th until October 31st. With the same scoring system as Tomato Temple, where players earn points by both eliminating and surviving, this cup will be a perfect mix between aggressive and passive players.
How to enter Fortnite Tournaments
All of these tournaments are likely to be found in a new ‘Tournaments’ tab, shown by Epic Games’ most recent Support-A-Creator YouTube video. Stay tuned for more info and leaks as they come in!
