Apex Legends update 1.04 has been released by Respawn on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Respawn has now released the official Apex Legends update 1.04 patch notes, so here’s what’s new.
Apex Legends Update 1.04
On February 15, Respawn released a new post on Reddit regarding upcoming changes to the game. Many of these improvements have been included as part of today’s Apex Legends update, whereas the release of some has been extended a little further down the line.
Firstly, Respawn has implemented a variety of changes to help solve the problems with crashes. In particular, here’s what they’ve improved:
- In-game quality of life
Prior to Apex Legends update 1.04, they did mention it was a “big priority”.
Throughout the past few weeks, players have been experiencing an influx of Apex Legends server issues and crashes. Therefore, if for whatever reason players still encounter issues after this Apex Legends update. Then, it’s highly likely that many players will be extremely disappointed.
A host of bug fixes have also been introduced. With the general state of the game in terms of stability, it certainly doesn’t come as much of a surprise to see them make a predominant appearance.

Fixes for PS4 crash issues.
Addresses issues we saw with GPU hangs.
Fixed crash when pressing button early in load process.
Fixed issue where players would sometimes move slowly after revive.
Fixed issue with Mirage Ability causing crashes.
Fixed issue with Gibraltar Epic skins on Xbox One causing crashes.
