The next major addition to Respawn’s astonishing Battle Royale is scheduled to launch in March. Prior to its release, Gaming INTEL has been privileged enough to receive exclusive information. Our source claims that the Apex Legends Season 1 Battle Pass will feature both a paid and free version.
LEAK: Apex Legends Battle Pass – Paid & Free Versions
In a recent dialogue of messages, our exclusive source mentioned that the in-game files feature “files of a free one and one called level_diamond.” It’s extremely likely that “level_diamond” is referring to the paid Apex Legends Season 1 Battle Pass, whilst “free” means there will be no cost, obviously.
Apex Legends Season 1 – What to Expect
Whilst Respawn hasn’t provided much word on what’s around the corner with Season 1, there’s currently not much indication as to what we can expect. According to its Roadmap, the arrival of each Season will feature new loot, weapons, and new legends, albeit this was merely what we expected.
Whilst Epic Games has a very similar approach with Fortnite seasons, if this is Respawn’s final decision then it shouldn’t come across as much of a surprise. As of yet, there is also no indication as to how much the Apex Legends Battle Pass will cost. If Respawn does decide to follow suit from other games, then players will be looking at the $10 mark, approximately 1000 coins.
Of course, if players do decide to stick with the Apex Legends free battle pass, inevitably the content isn’t going to compare against the goods available on the paid pass. It’s likely that new loot, weapons, and legends will be up for grabs if you decide to pay, whereas those who decide to take the cheaper route may dip out on the main aspects, only retrieving basic loot via the free battle pass.
From a marketing perspective, if these leaks are anything to go by, Respawn’s decision will inevitably grab the attention of significantly more fans for their upcoming seasons. Those reluctant to pay won’t miss out on the experience of each new season.
