How to Beat Avarice, The Gold Cursed in Diablo 4
The best way of beating Avarice is by dodging his devastating close-range melee attacks and avoiding his Golden Pools which will slow you and inflict damage over time.
Staggering Avarice with Crowd Control effects is the most effective way of dealing lots of damage in a short space of time.
Avarice, The Gold Cursed is a massive behemoth with devastating melee attacks. He wields a giant mace and a huge chained treasure chest that he uses as a powerful hammer.
Applying Crowd Control is the best way of dealing damage to Avarice. You deal Crowd Control when a when you apply a status effect such as freeze, stun, or slow. These do not apply status effects to World Bosses. Crowd Control damages their Stamina meter instead.

Once Avarice’s stamina meter is full, he will enter the Staggered state. This immobilizes Avarice, resulting in a few short seconds where you can deal massive amounts of damage to him.
When you Stagger Avarice, he spawns two Treasure Goblins. Hunt them down for even more gold and loot.
