How to Get Aspect of Torment Diablo 4

There are two ways to get the Aspect of Torment in Diablo 4:

1. Completing the Black Asylum dungeon in the Fractured Peaks region
   • You’ll be rewarded with the Aspect of Torment in your Codex of Power
2. Extracting it from a piece of Legendary Gear

Where to Find Aspect of Torment Diablo 4

You can find the Aspect of Torment in Diablo 4 most easily as a Codex of Power reward for completing the Black Asylum dungeon in the Fractured Peaks Region.

Fractured Peaks is the first major region you’ll come across when you start playing Diablo 4. This means you can access the Black Asylum dungeon and find the Aspect of Torment as early as Act 1.

The Black Asylum dungeon is located in the Frigid Expanse area in the Fractured Peaks region. It’s just to the Northeast of the Kyovashad Waypoint:

Follow these steps to complete the Black Asylum dungeon:

1. Activate the Gate Winches
   • There are two Gate Winches to activate. One is located in the northwest area of the map, the other in the northeast area
   • The Gate Winches are identified by a white icon on the map

2. Open and head through the unlocked door toward the Haunted Cellblock

3. Slay all enemies in the Haunted Cellblock
   • Look out for the red dots on your map to make this process a little easier

4. Defeat The Undying Elite Enemy
   • This is an Elite Enemy – there is no final boss for this dungeon

5. Upon defeating the final enemy, you will receive the Aspect of Torment and complete the dungeon

You can view the Aspect of Torment in the Codex of Power and can imprint it onto gear with the Occultist.

How to Get Aspect of Torment from Legendary Gear in D4

To get the Aspect of Torment from Legendary Gear, you’ll need to find Legendary items as loot drops that already have the Aspect equipped.

Here’s what to look out for when searching for the Aspect of Torment on Legendary Gear:

• Look out for the affix description next to a star in orange letters in the item’s description
  • The affix should say – “Critical Strikes with Bone Skills increase your Essence Regeneration by [20-30]%[x] for 4 seconds.”
• Pay close attention to the Essence Regeneration percentage to see if it’s better than the base increase from the Codex of Power version of the Aspect.

Even though you can access the Aspect of Torment from the Codex of Power, you may be able to find a version of the Aspect with more powerful effects on Legendary Gear.

If so, you can use this gear piece to replace an existing one or extract the Aspect from it to imprint it on another piece of gear.

What is Edgemaster’s Aspect in Diablo 4?

The Aspect of Torment is a Legendary Aspect in Diablo 4 that increases Essence Regeneration when you deal Critical Strike Damage with the Necromancer’s Bone Skills.

Here is the Aspect of Torment effect:

• Critical Strikes with Bone Skills increase your Essence Regeneration by [20-30]%[X] for 4 seconds

You can only imprint the Aspect of Torment on Rings.

The percentage Essence Regeneration increase will vary depending on whether you imprint it onto an item from the Codex of Power, or find it on a gear piece as a loot drop.

It’s important to note that the percentage increase from Codex of Power will always be the lowest value within the range of values the Aspect offers.

The Aspect of Torment is exclusive to the Necromancer class and provides a powerful buff to all Bone Skills.

The Necromacer’s Bone Spear build is one of the most powerful endgame builds in the game, making the Aspect of Torment a must-have for those looking to make the most of Diablo 4’s endgame.
