Call of Duty MW3 Zombies looks to be the most unique take on the undead survival mode yet, but it still has a number of Wonder Weapons to try out!
Wonder Weapons are powerful zombie-slaying tools that are exclusive to the Zombies modes in Call of Duty titles.
To get your hands on one, you’ll usually need to be lucky with the Mystery Box, make it to high rounds, or complete special Easter eggs that drop the weapons as a reward.
Now, we’ve got an early look at MW3 Zombies and its 3 distinct Wonder Weapons, ahead of its November 10 release date:
All Wonder Weapons in MW3 Zombies
There are three Wonder Weapons available in MW3 Zombies at launch:
- Ray Gun
- Wunderwaffe DG-2
- Scorcher
Of those three guns, only the Scorcher is brand-new, with the other two being popular Wonder Weapons from COD Zombies’ past.
All three weapons have now been revealed officially for MW3 Zombies, and YouTuber MrDalekJD has revealed some new details for each gun.
Ray Gun
The Ray Gun is a staple of Call of Duty Zombies, appearing as the very first Wonder Weapon all the way back in World at War.

Since then, the weapon has returned time and time again, and players will be happy to see it back in action in MWZ.
This powerful Wonder Weapon boasts huge damage, with a good fire rate and a large ‘magazine’ size, but it’s also able to dish out splash damage, making clearing undead hordes a breeze.
How to Get the Ray Gun in MW3 Zombies
As usual, the Ray Gun can be acquired from the Mystery Box, but it can also appear in Weapon Case drops, which are rare rewards obtained for completing MWZ objectives.
Reportedly, the Ray Gun can also be found around the map in MW3 Zombies.

On top of that, it’s even possible to extract from the DMZ-style Zombies mode with a Ray Gun schematic.
Doing so will allow you to craft a Ray Gun every 48 hours of real time, allowing you to enter the game with the Wonder Weapon right away.
Wunderwaffe DG-2
The Wunderwaffe DG-2 was also present back in World at War, first introduced alongside the iconic map, Shi No Numa.
We’ve seen this beloved weapon return a few times, most recently in Vanguard’s remake of that same map.

The Wunderwaffe is an extremely powerful Wonder Weapon that can deal massive damage thanks to its devastating electrical current. A single shot sends out a bolt of lightning that’s capable of redirecting to up to 10 enemies, often killing them instantly.
However, it suffers from both significant recoil and a lengthy reload time.
How to Get the Wunderwaffe DG-2 in MW3 Zombies
Like the Ray Gun, the Wunderwaffe can also be obtained from the Mystery Box, Weapon Case drops, and can even spawn around the map.
However, it is unclear as to whether or not the weapon also has an extractable schematic to find.
Scorcher
A brand-new Wonder Weapon, the Scorcher is perhaps the most exciting of the three guns for all but the most nostalgic of fans.
What makes this weapon so great is that it can be used to propel players high into the air, allowing them to soar over undead hordes and move into advantageous positions.

As a zombie-killing tool, it is also no slouch. After charging up, the Scorcher emits a powerful blast of purple energy that can melt through most enemies.
It’ll be great for not just clearing out groups of zombies, but also for escaping when things look dicey.
How to Get the Scorcher in MW3 Zombies
The only Wonder Weapon that’s unique to MW3 Zombies, players can find the Scorcher in the Mystery Box.

We don’t currently know if it can be obtained via other methods. However, it seems likely that the Scorcher will also appear as a reward for completing new Easter eggs in MW3 Zombies.
As soon as more details are revealed, we’ll update this article with exact steps for getting your hands on MW3’s Wonder Weapons.
