The new Warzone Verdansk ’84 map is here and it has brought loads of changes to familiar locations.
In case you couldn’t catch the huge Warzone events over the last couple of days, modern-day Verdansk was finally nuked. However, part 2 of the Destruction of Verdansk event took operators back in time to 1984.
Warzone players have now been introduced to the new map and are getting used to the 80’s feel, brighter colors, and added greenery. However, some fan-favorite locations on the map have undergone some huge changes too.
But first, make sure to watch the new trailer revealing the Warzone map for yourself.

Verdansk Airport has undergone a number of changes for the ’84 version of the map. Players will be used to the destroyed Airport, but the Verdansk ’84 Airport is in pristine condition.
At the time, it was only a regional airport, so the planes are smaller, but you can use both of them for cover on the runway. There is also skylights on the roof and an extra underpass on the runway.
Stadium has probably undergone the biggest change of all of the POIs for the new Verdansk ’84 map.
The huge arena we grew familiar with had just started construction in 1984, players dropping there will be greeted by a much smaller, traditional-style stadium with no roof. It is complete with an old-school scoreboard, an announcer booth, and a crane.
Downtown Broadcast Building
The main change in DOwntown for Verdansk ’84 is that the huge Broadcast Building is still under construction. It is still very much at the top of the skyline but the final three floors are still under construction.
There is also a huge crane towering over the building, making it difficult for snipers to camp on the roof.
However, to make the most of this new vantage point, you’ll probably want to unlock the new Swiss K31 sniper rifle. Find out how to unlock every new weapon in Cold War & Warzone Season 3.
Superstore has also had a 1980s makeover for the Verdansk ’84 map. The store is now looking great, and it has some more windows and skylights for players to hop and shoot through.
However, you might want to think twice before hiding in the dark corners or on the shelves, thanks to this huge Season 3 change. The overpowered Roze skin has finally gotten a nerf.
Verdansk 84’s TV station now has a huge satellite dish on the roof as well as some 80’s themed decoration. Plus, players can now hop out of some new windows to easily get to the Buy Station to the South.
Barakett Promenade & Park
Finally, there have been a few changes to the Barakett Promenade and Park areas for Verdansk ’84. There is now an unfinished apartment complex, with a maze-like interior.
Plus, the whole promenade area is more open, with a small park instead of the Library and a parking lot in place of the claustrophobic market.
