Tortured Gifts of Living Steel chests appear in various locations during Helltides in Diablo 4 Season 2.
They contain important resources and materials that you’ll want to get your hands on, including Living Steel. It’s a material needed to summon one of the endgame bosses in Season 2.
However, it can be tricky to find as you can only find them during Helltide events. Below we have compiled the locations of every single Tortured Gift of Living Steel chest to make your hunt for Living Steel a bit easier in Season 2.
All Tortured Gifts of Living Steel Locations
Tortured Gifts of Living Steel chests spawn in areas across Sanctuary that have a Helltide event active in them. You will find them in all the major regions in Diablo 4. They are: Fractured Peaks, Scosglen, Dry Steppes, Kehjistan, and Hawezar.
You can only access Helltides in World Tiers 3 & 4.

There will only be a limited number of Tortured Gift of Living Steel Chests active at a time during a Helltide in Diablo 4. There can only be two or three chests active in a Helltide.
Because of this, the locations marked on the map are just potential spawn points for these chests. You may need to check multiple spawn points within a Helltide before you find one.
Additionally, Tortured Gifts of Living Steel chests reset to another spawn point at the start of every real-life hour in a Helltide event.
So, if the Helltide event starts at 12:15, all chests within that Helltide area will relocate at 13:00, 15 minutes before the end of the Helltide event.
However, as Helltides only last one hour, if one starts at 12:00, it will end at 13:00, meaning the chests won’t move during that Helltide event.
You’ll know it’s a Tortured Gift of Living Steel by hovering your cursor over it on the map screen. When in-game they appear as Tortured Gifts of Living Steel. In the map screen, they appear as Tortured Gifts of Infernal Steel when selecting it with your cursor.
Do note, these chests only appear on your map when you are close to them. You’ll need to explore the area of a Helltide and look out for the above icon for it to pop up on your map.
Once you’ve successfully located a Tortured Gift of Living Steel chest, you’ll need to defeat the Elite enemy guarding it and spend 300 Aberrant Cinders to open it and collect your rewards.
Fractured Peaks Tortured Gift of Living Steel Chest Locations
You can find 12 Tortured Gift of Living Steel chest spawn points in the Fractured Peaks region.
You will find 6 chests in the Sarkova Pass zone and 6 in the Frigid Expanse zone.
Scosglen Tortured Gift of Living Steel Chest Locations
You can find 10 Tortured Gift of Living Steel chest spawn points in the Scosglen region in Diablo 4.
You will find 6 chests in the Northshore zone and 4 in the Deep Forest zone.
Dry Steppes Tortured Gift of Living Steel Chest Locations
Players can find 12 Tortured Gift of Living Steel chest spawn points in the Dry Steppes region.
You will find 6 chests in the Untamed Scarps zone and 6 chests in the Khargai Crags zone.
Kehjistan Tortured Gift of Living Steel Chest Locations
There are 18 Tortured Gift of Living Steel chest spawn points in the Kehjistan region in Diablo 4.
You will find 6 chests in the Amber Sands zone, 6 in the Ragged Coastline zone, and 6 in the Southern Expanse zone.
Hawezar Tortured Gift of Living Steel Chest Locations
There are 12 Tortured Gift of Living Steel chest spawn points in the Hawezar region in Diablo 4.
You will find 6 chests in the Dismal Foothills zone and 6 in the Fethis Wetlands zone.
