The Xbox Boss has given gamers an update on when exactly Activision Blizzard games will appear on Xbox Game Pass.
If you’re a Game Pass subscriber who has been waiting anxiously for the Activision Blizzard acquisition to go through, you’ll be happy to hear that the deal is finally done.
Xbox is now the proud owner of some of the biggest and best franchises in gaming history. But when will the enormous treasure trove of games arrive on the subscription service?
Activision Blizzard Games on Xbox Game Pass Release Date
Speaking on the Official Xbox Podcast, Phil Spencer announced that Activision Blizzard games will arrive on Xbox Game Pass ‘sometime’ in 2024.
The Xbox Boss was unable to give an exact release date for the upcoming content drop, but he did shut down rumors that the games will be arriving on the service very soon.
“I would love it if there was some secret celebration drop that’s coming in the next couple of weeks,” Spencer said, referencing the ongoing theories. “There’s not.”

This is sure to surprise some fans, particularly long-term subscribers who witnessed what happened with Xbox’s other major acquisition of ZeniMax Media.
Just a couple of days after finalizing the purchase of Bethesda’s parent company, Xbox released a huge wave of games on the service. But it seems that this time around, the console developer aims to take a more measured approach.
Phil Spencer says he recognizes that this news is a little bit of a downer, but confirms that the new acquisition is a long-term move that has Xbox “excited about the future.”

We’ll update this article when more precise details arrive regarding the Activision Blizzard games’ release date on Xbox Game Pass!
