343 Shares Update on Halo Infinite’s May Update Release Date

343 Industries has updated Halo Infinite players on the next update release date, bringing much-needed changes to the latest Halo game.

Lone Wolves, Halo Infinite’s title for the second season, has now been launched for a few weeks. While it hasn’t all been ideal, some fans have been enjoying the new content.

And with the news of Last Spartan Standing getting a playlist with new maps recently, it seems 343 Industries are adamant about bringing content out.

But content isn’t all that’s needed, as fixes to existing issues are required. 343 confirmed that the first Drop Pod would be coming soon, and we’re getting an update even before it lands.

343 Updates Players on Halo Infinite May Update Release Date

John Junyszek, Senior Community Manager at 343, has updated fans saying the May update is targeted for release next week.

343 Industries shared what is expected to change with the update last week. The post was made on the Halo Waypoint forums, with many players sharing their excitement for the changes.

EDIT: Initially our article referred to this update as Halo Infinite’s first Drop Pod update. However, it has since been brought to our attention that Head of Creative Joseph Staten has confirmed this is not an official ‘Drop Pod’.

The original story continues below:

Junyszek, who goes under the Twitter tag of @Unyshek, quote tweeted a Halo tweet with the update. His quote tweet was captioned “Update: We are targeting next week for this release. We’ll continue to share updates as we get closer.”

This update expects to bring fixes to plenty of issues, including weapon jamming, the tank gun glitch, and more.

You can find all of the changes that are expected to be made with this Drop Pod update for Halo Infinite here.

Some players have also been concerned about major lag and desync issues in Halo Infinite Season 2. Hopefully, that will be fixed soon too.

And it seems that a new leak for Halo Infinite has revealed upcoming Rakshasa Helmets.

Finally, if you love Halo Infinite’s events, find out when the release dates are for every Halo Infinite Season 2 event!

I keep hearing rumors about an update that would allow couch co-op for the campaign. Are they true and if so when?

Not a drop pod, do a bit more research before spreading clickbait misinformation. This is just a bug fix.

This isn't actually one of the drop pods. This is all regular update and fixes that are coming. Drop pods are gonna be more substantial
