Monday July 24th, 2017 was a day that will be remembered by the North American CSGO Scene. ESL announced their pardon for the North American Ex CSGO IBuyPower Players from the match fixing scandal in 2014. ESL and the ESIC gathered to reevaluate the policies set into place. This resulted in the former IBuyPower Squads pardon as well as the ex-Epsilon roster.
The four players rejoiced on twitters and have stated they will be returning for upcoming events. These players can now only participate in ESL events which includes Pro League, IEM and ESL One, this also means that they have still remained banned by Valve, Dreamhack and ELeague. They also cannot participate in Majors as of yet.
Little is known for the plans for this squad. There has been news from Sam ‘DaZed’ Marine about him forming a squad for those events along with Braxton ‘Swag’ Pierce and Keven ‘AZK’ Lariviere. While most are still concerned if AZK will come back, he did however create a Career in Overwatch and plays for Team Liquid.
In the most recent NA amateur event, Fragadelphia. An appearance was seen by Braxton ‘Swag’ Pierce and John ‘Steel’ Nissan. Steel was also formerly banned because of the IBP Scandal. These players have returned to compete and win these ESL Events. Yet it is known that they will go down in the
history of CSGO.
