New Changes Made Towards Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered

With the upcoming of the release of Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare Remastered, many changes have been made to the game in terms of gameplay to visual aesthetics. If you haven’t been keeping track on Twitter lately, Amos Hodge has been vocal with the Call of Duty community. He is a lead designer at Ravensoft studios, who are currently developing Modern Warfare Remastered. He has been tweeting many adjustments towards the upcoming game. Here are a couple of changes that have been made towards Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered:

“Raven will be updating the obituary icons for headshots and melee kills to match the original theme.”

The original headshot and melee kills which appeared in the killfeed of MW Remastered will be updated to match the original.

“Raven has updated the sounds for the Barrett, DEagle, RPD, and M40A3 to more closely match the original.”

The Barrett .50 Cal, Desert Eagle, RPD, and the M40A3 have all been updated in terms of gun sounds to match the original.

“The OpFor Sniper has boarded the hype train and will grow facial hair for the launch of Modern Warfare Remastered”

The OpFor Sniper will now have facial hair, like it did in the original.

“Modern Warfare Remastered will have all playlists that launched with MW1, plus additional ones.”

All playlists from the original will make a return as well as some new gamemodes in Modern Warfare Remastered.

“Modern Warfare Remastered will have the original MP announcer Voice Overs for the original modes.”

Modern Warfare Remastered will include the original voice overs for the specified factions for the original gamemodes in Modern Warfare Remastered.

“Raven has added an option to disable the in-game HUD icon display for medals”.

As you can see, Raven Software are doing everything they can to closely match the original game. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare came out in 2007 and you can see the minor adjustments from changing gun sounds, to changing killfeed icons, to adding facial hair to a OpFor faction character. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered comes out this year on November 4th.
